NAI Utah to Host 2008 Economic & Real Estate Summit
Renowned strategic advisor and market analyst, Dr. Peter Linneman to speak again
Salt Lake City, UT -- NAI Utah, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage headquartered in Salt Lake City and the Utah affiliate of NAI Global, will be hosting the second annual NAI Utah Economic & Real Estate Summit. The event will highlight the latest economic trends, real estate conditions, business opportunities and emerging market practices throughout Utah and the World.
The event will feature a presentation by renowned strategic advisor, published author and leading investment and real estate consultant, Dr. Peter Linneman. Dr. Linneman, who has been named one of the "25 most influential people in real estate" by REALTOR® Magazine, is the Principal of Linneman Associates, a company that provides strategic and M&A analysis, market studies and feasibility analysis to a number of leading U.S. and international companies.
Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. plans to prepare remarks for the Summit highlighting the current business environment in Utah and local economic conditions. Dr. Linneman, who was a speaker at the event last year, plans to explore a range of topics that have an impact on the economy and commercial real estate industry both globally and domestically. Issues for discussion will include the state of the economy, the risks creating abnormal levels of uncertainty, how political and legislative decisions are having an effect on the markets, and the direction of capital markets in the future.

Dr. Linneman is the author of the leading real estate finance book, Real Estate Finance and Investments: Risks and Opportunities, and publishes the industry’s foremost research report, The Linneman Letter. He has published over 60 articles during his career. He also serves as the Albert Sussman Professor of Real Estate, Finance, and Business and Public Policy at the Wharton School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania.
The summit is scheduled to take place on October 21st, 2008 at the Grand America Hotel.
